The Recruitment Process
Our standardised recruitment schedule ensures a fair and equitable process for all applicants. With standardised stages and competencies across all roles, each and every candidate has the best chance possible to secure a role here at Alpha FMC
The first stage of the interview process involves reviewing your application in line with the required skills and experience for the role in question. Once this review has happened, a member of our recruitment team will be in touch to coordinate next steps
The first formal interview stage will see you meeting a member of the consulting team for an in depth discussion around your skills, industry knowledge as well as motivations for wanting to join the Alpha family.
For the second stage interview, we will invite you to sit our specially designed in-house case study exercise. This stage of the process tests your consulting skillset in a real-world situation that you could face when working here at Alpha FMC
If you've made it this far then things are certainly looking promising! The final step of the recruitment process is to meet with one of our Partners/Senior Partners for a final stage interview. If things go well here, our in-house recruitment team will follow up soon after to confirm the details of your offer!

Our NA Leadership Team
Alpha’s Management Team leads the UK Insurance Consulting team. They have a broad remit: from day-to-day management of the firm, to planning the strategy and development of the business, to recruitment, socials and wellbeing. At Alpha, you will have the opportunity to support the Management team in areas that interest you from the very start of your career, helping you develop a deep understanding of how the business operates.
Our Global Leadership Team
Britt is a Senior Partner at Alpha and is the Global Head of Insurance. He has over 25 years of industry experience as a consultant and with insurers and brokers across the property & casualty, life & annuity and health sectors.
Britt brings deep expertise in the insurance front office including distribution, marketing and underwriting. His project work is focused at the intersection of operations, strategy, technology and data.
Prior to joining Alpha, Britt was a Partner in Deloitte’s Insurance practice and held various sales, marketing and underwriting roles with Cigna and Marsh McLennan.
Britt holds a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Chicago, and a Bachelors degree from Vanderbilt University.

Huw is a Partner in Alpha’s General Insurance and Specialty Insurance practice with over 15 years of industry and consulting experience. He works across the sector, having advised global reinsurers, specialty carriers, brokers, retail insurers and banks across a number of consulting engagements including M&A, business and technology transformation, future operating model design, and proposition strategy.
He has an industry background, having started his career with Groupama (latterly Ageas) before moving to consulting with Accenture and EY.
A Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Huw retains a keen interest in the claims domain and is a reviewing editor for the CII’s Advanced Claims texts.
