Alpha were engaged to support the C-Suite of a London market carrier to define and implement an ESG strategy. The strategy spanned underwriting, investments, operations, and talent – as well as meeting Lloyd’s of London expectations.
Alpha’s support included the design and launch of an ESG underwriting framework, with the intention of informing underwriting portfolio decisions for new and renewing risks. As part of this work, Alpha conducted a vendor/ tooling assessment and produced a business case to help the carrier determine which ESG scoring tool to use across underwriting.
Finally, Alpha supported the calculation of operational emissions and provided actionable recommendations for the business to decarbonise its operations.
